CNAME Records in Website Hosting
If you have a website hosting plan from our company and you want to set up a CNAME record, it'll take you a few mouse clicks to get it done. You can access the DNS records for all domain names and subdomains hosted inside your account via the Hepsia Control Panel included with each plan and adding a new record is as simple as clicking on a button, selecting the type, which will be CNAME in this case, entering the actual record value and saving the change. If you've never added such a record before, we have a Help section with a detailed video tutorial you can watch, or you can just contact us and we will assist you with this task. If you have created an Internet site using another provider, you want to use a private URL for your webmail or you want to designate a subdomain to be used with the services of a different provider, like Google Apps, all it takes is creating a CNAME record with a couple of clicks in your Control Panel.
CNAME Records in Semi-dedicated Servers
The Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which comes with each of our semi-dedicated server accounts, allows you to set up a CNAME record with ease. In case you want to create a private URL for your e-mails, to point a domain name to a subdomain inside the account or to forward a domain to another provider and use some third-party service that they provide, it's not going to require more than three clicks to set up this kind of record. All DNS records for the domain names and subdomains hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be listed in a separate section in the Control Panel, so once you are there, all you will have to do will be to select the type of the record that you want to set up and the hostname for which you are creating it, and then type in the actual record text. For your benefit, you can see a short video in the Control Panel about how to create a CNAME record or you can refer to the instructions in the help article, which is available in the DNS records section.
