phpMyAdmin is a highly efficient PHP-based software tool which is used to control MySQL databases via a web interface. You could use it to run MySQL commands, set up, modify and delete cells, rows and tables or manage users with various levels of access to the database in question. These tasks could be carried out from any device provided that you have a web browser and access to the web hosting account where the database is. With phpMyAdmin, you may also export or import a whole database, which is a very beneficial function if you want to migrate a website from one web hosting company to another. Several different file formats are supported for the so-called dump file - CSV, SQL, XML and PDF, based on what you want to do - move the data from one web hosting account to another, preview a whole database in a spreadsheet application like Microsoft Excel, etc.

phpMyAdmin in Website Hosting

phpMyAdmin is available as part of our Linux website hosting plans and you'll be able to access it at any time from your Hepsia CP. All databases which you set up in the account shall be listed in alphabetical order within the MySQL Databases section of the Control Panel and all it will take to gain access to any of them will be to click on the small phpMyAdmin icon, that will be on the right side of each database. You will not have to input any information, as you'll be logged in automatically in a new web browser tab. If you prefer to log in by hand instead of using the Control Panel, you will be able to do that through our direct phpMyAdmin login page where you'll have to type in the database account information. This option is helpful if you need to offer access to a particular database to some third party, such as a web designer.

phpMyAdmin in Semi-dedicated Servers

We offer phpMyAdmin with every semi-dedicated server account since our plans support MySQL-driven websites. The tool is integrated inside our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel and if you want to edit any database, you simply need to go to the MySQL section and click on the phpMyAdmin icon for a specific database. You will not need any login credentials as you'll be signed in automatically. If you do not want to employ your CP or you want to give access to any database to another individual for some reason, you will also have an alternative option - to go to our phpMyAdmin direct login page where our system shall require the database username and password. If you hire a web designer, for example, you can take advantage of that option to enable them to work on your website without giving them access to any files, email messages or other databases inside the account.
